Ted A. Crozier, Colonel, USA (Retired)
In my spare time I like to surf the internet looking at various airborne and other related military sites, often with thoughts of how nice it would be if I ran across some of the people who I served with.  Recently just by chance I went to a people search site and typed in the name of my Company Commander, Ted Crozier. I really didn't expect to find him,but much to my surprise I found a match who only lived minutes from Fort Campbell.  I thought this had to be more than just coincidence and decided to call, all the while expecting if anything it would just be a relative. Well I'm sure you can imagine my surprise when I realized that the voice on the end of the phone was indeed
" my old commander."

I have just recently returned from a trip to Tennesse and Kentucky  and while I was there I was fortunate enough to be able to visit with Col.Crozier and his wife at their home.  It was really great to see him again, and brought back alot of good memories.   During my visit I found out from Col. Crozier that the Fort Campbell Historical Foundation will be opening a museum honoring the heritage of Fort Campbell and the regiments who have served.  Col. Crozier is the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Fort Campbell Historical foundation.  If  you would like more information on the military museum you can contact the Fort Campbell Historical Foundation

Prior ot my recent visit the last time I saw my Commander was in 1953. Since then he went on to serve our Army and our Country for 32 years retiring a Colonel.  I want to take this opportunity to thank him on behalf of myself and the United  States of America for his service and dedication. It was really great to see you again!.........Pete

That was in 2001. Since then my father has been fortunate enough to find nearly all of the men, still living, who he served with under Colonel Crozier. My father organized the 1st Reunion of the 187th Airborne RCT, Fox Co. which was held in Charleston, SC in 2002. Since he has had the honor and pleasure of organizing the 2nd Annual Reunion which was held in Savannah, GA in 2003, the 3rd Annual Reunion which was held in New Orleans, LA in 2004, the 4th Annual Reunion which was held in St. Augestine, FL in 2005, the 5th Annual Reunion which was held in Chattanooga, TN in 2006, the 6th Annual Reunion which was held in Nashville,TN in 2007. Colonel Crozier was in attendance at nearly all of these events.

My husband and I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Colonel Crozier and his lovely wife at the first reunion. It was a real treat sitting and listening to him and the men who served under him talk and reminisce about the experiences they shared. We saw Colonel Crozier again at the 2nd Reunion and then again at the 5th Reunion and he was just as charming as ever.!I look forward to seeing him again in 2008, and Colonel if you are reading this.....................Semper Fi, Ooh-Rah!
